Rain, rain, go away..
For the last month, Fort St. John and the surrounding area has been hit with constant rainstorms, with the result of highway and road closures, electricity outages and bridges being washed away.
The monthly total for June has come to 118.4 millimeters, resulting in Fort St. John beating two previous records that have stood for over 70 years, including the 1936 June record of 110.5 millimeters. The unofficial total as of June 27, 2011, is up to 174.4 millimeters, beating the July 1939 record of 145.5.
