BV Land Consulting Ltd. and Northern Rockies Environmental Ltd. ere involved in the Bear Mountain Wind Power Project near Dawson Creek, British Columbia. This project became British Columbia’s first fully operational wind park. It is a 2-year project, which started in December 2007 and turbines are now fully operational.

Parts were trucked in from Thunder Bay, Ontario, and there are a total of 34 towers installed. On August 6, 2009, turbine number seven historically became the first wind turbine to deliver power to British Columbia's grid.

BV Land's ongoing involvement with the project included providing a number of services, such as consultation and notification with residents, the public, and First Nations in areas of traffic management and transmission line acquisition. BV Land also handled permitting where needed with forestry and other stakeholders, and provided security for the construction site.

NRES was responsible for completing the soil and vegetation assessments on the 3.5 mile transmission line, which ties into the BC Hydro switching station, and the transmission line along the Hart Highway. NRES was also responsible for completing the Agriculture Land Commission (ALC) applications required by the ALC for the project.
